CSAAC, Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children, has been serving children and adults with autism in Maryland since 1979. Due to the nature of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs), many individuals we serve require lifelong assistance. Some children and adults with autism require supports to that they are able to perform basic daily living tasks, such as dressing, preparing a meal, or participating in a recreational activity. CSAAC works with children and adults with autism using the best practices available, centering around encouraging communication and providing positive behavioral support.
CSAAC is primarily funded by the State of Maryland and local counties. However, this funding provides only the basic necessities for the individuals served. In order to be able to offer additional therapies, recreation, and extraordinary, life-enriching, community-based learning, CSAAC relies on private donations.
To support CSAAC, CSAAC Foundation was established in 1996, and is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. CSAAC Foundation’s mission is to raise CSAAC’s visibility in the community and seek private support.
