Children from CSAAC’s after-school program presented Brian Mitchell with a “thank-you” card in the shape of a football for his caring and efforts to promote autism awareness. Brian will be the special guest at the First Annual CSAAC Honors Gala to be held Thursday, November 16 at the North Bethesda Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in North Bethesda, Maryland. At this event, CSAAC will honor Mr. Abe Pollin, majority owner of the Washington Wizards, and will unveil a brand new professionally-made 30-second public service announcement (PSA), which will be distributed to television channels in the Washington metropolitan area after the event. Brian hosts “Expert Analysis with Brian Mitchell” daily on SportsTalk 980 AM www.wtem.com and appears on ComcastSportsNet’s “Post Game Live.” Brian’s other philanthropic efforts include the American Heart Association and Ronald McDonald House Charities, just to name a few. While touring CSAAC’s facility, Brian said, “it is important that the individuals with autism served here feel good about themselves, and CSAAC’s Supported Employment program helps them do just that.” Executive Director Ian Paregol thanked Brian for taking the time to visit, and for his commitment to CSAAC and promoting autism awareness.
