On Friday, December 23rd, children and adults served by CSAAC gathered at CSAAC’s Brookeville campus gym at the Community School of Maryland for our annual Holiday Party. Tamekia Ford, Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator for CSAAC and her team of volunteers did a wonderful job turning the gym into a winter wonderland. DJ music was provided by Bialek’s Music so everyone could dance the night away. Santa Claus (a.k.a. Chief Human Resources officer Dave Martone) and Chief Elf (a.k.a. Leah Vogel) arrived on the scene and distributed gifts to everyone. Click to view more pictures.

Serving appetizing meals is no easy task for the parents of children on a gluten-free diet. Forbidden foods—wheat, rye, milk and barley—are in most recipes and fast foods. This cookbook provides guidelines for implementing the diet and gives hints for facilitating food preparation. It is a great start to building a gluten and casein free recipe library and gives overall suggestions that apply to various recipes. Help support our program by buying our cookbook today!!!! Please email Candice at cfelske@csaac.org if interested.
