
CSAAC Transportation Department operates two shuttle busses that crisscross upper and lower Montgomery County helping to transport individuals to over 40 vocational sites during the workday. The shuttles have been added to help with the growing activities throughout the metropolitan area. Along with fellow driver Ted Knight and Assistant Director for Transportation Christopher Drayton the Shuttle Buses have been used to cover such activities as the “Cure Autism Now Walk on the National Mall, Baltimore Orioles baseball, the Baltimore Aquarium as well as weekly outings for the FISS/IEI department. The CSAAC shuttles are a part of the over 50 fleet vehicles that Drayton and his drivers maintain for Residential, Vocational and School use.
Under CSAAC's new "Recognizing Excellence" initiative, two recent awardees were honored by the management team. In recognition of superior safety and service to the daily transportation needs of CSAAC, shuttle drivers, Steve Wilkinson and Trevor Watson were both given certificates indicating a year of incident free road navigation. The awards were given out on March 6, 2007.
Acknowledging Wilkerson’s long tenure of incident free driving, Executive Director Ian Paregol and Christopher Drayton, Asst. Director for Transportation created the CSAAC Master Level Fleet Driver Award. This award commemorates a level of a minimum of 5 consecutive years of incident free Shuttle operation.
Steve Wilkerson is a long time CSAAC employee who has been affiliated with the company for over twenty years. He has been instrumental in the development of the CSAAC Shuttle program and route development. Steve is a Rockville, Maryland native and a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School.
Trevor Watson, a Spanishtown, Jamaica native came to CSAAC as an over-the-road big rig truck driver. His driving experience has him driving routes that would bring him to California, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and many other states in the US.
